Where to find Bureau de Change

Bureau de Change or Bureaux de Change stands for Currency Exchange. This French expression has been adapted across Europe and it is commonly used in Britain. It is a place of business/service where you can exchange one currency for another. You will find many of these all across London. Bureaux de Change are often located at the airports, train stations, inside banks, travel agents, shopping malls or near hotels or busy tourists areas.

Be straightforward and ask the clerk to tell you exactly how many pounds will you receive after the deduction of all the charges and fees. This way you know exactly what (how much) you’re getting!

The best foreign exchange provider is the bureau the change network located in the post office. Rates often vary so it is a good idea to visit several exchange offices and compare prices.
